The quake strikes again....

On the 22nd of February there was another scary and heartbreaking experience. Everyone shaken up and
scared to pieces. Everyone overseas watching as they
Watch Canterbury all shaken up.
Michelle, Georgina and myself were doing Phone Juty.
Georgina was doing a dance that she was copying out
of my book I got out from the library. She was also telling
us how awesome her cake was when all the lights went out.
Georgina said “Hey, who turned the lights out??” and we said “I don’t know??”
Then it started to shake! Georgina and I went straight
Under the door.

Michelle was just sitting there not knowing what to do. We all called out to her “GET UNDER THE DOORFRAME MICHELLE, HURRY!!” Then she came. I couldn’t keep my self still and kept on moving around. Then Georgina started to scream but not because of the quake it
Was because I was standing on her foot.
The it stopped. We went out from under the doorframe
All shaken and scared. Michelle kept on clinging onto me
So I said “Its ok we will be fine”. Then Mrs. Jeffries said
To stay sitting down while she ran outside leaving us here in the office alone. Just us in the office. We saw everyone running to the field so we followed them. Running for

Our lives we ran to the field. Nearly everybody was crying and hugging people. Mr. Barr started to do the roll and we all said “here”. Then Mr. Barr said to go back inside and keep on reading Artemis Fowl. But then we had to go back inside because it was to dangerous to go back in. Then parents and caregivers started to pick their kids up. My mum was at Riccarton Mall so she couldn’t pick us up. Michelle’s Aunty came and said that Dylan, Jonathan, and I could go to there house until our parents came to pick us up. There was a couple aftershocks and one big one but we all just ran outside
If it happened. Then jonathans mum came and picked him up. My parents didn’t come till later on. But finally they came and picked us up in the car. We had to clean everything up. Not many things in our house was damaged. Then out neighbors came and said we could come have some tea on the Billy. Then when we had finished the tea we went home. The at 8.30-9.00ish the power came back on and that was the end of the day!

The quake was a heartbreaking experience that killed many innocent lives. But in a couple of months Christchurch will be back to normal!
