ANZAC Day

On April 25th, every  Australian and New Zealander commemorate Anzac Day.
It is New Zealand's sacred day because lots of intrepid soilders died on that day.
Anzac means Australia New Zealnd Army Core.
When Turks proclaimed war 87,000 turks people died and 8500 Australians died also
2721 New Zelanders died. That's so sad.
Anzac joined many wars,and joined World War1, Vietnam War and Korean War.
I amazing because ANZAC joined Korean War, so most Korean people thank you for them.
In World War 1 seventy thousand New Zealand's  people died.
They died about 1/61 of new zealand population.
ANZAC wanted peace and  freedom so we should carry on the spirit of their worth.

On 25 April 1915, eight months into the First World War, New Zealand and Australian soldiers landed on the shores of the Gallipoli peninsula. This was Turkish territory that formed part of one of Germany's allys, the Ottoman Empire. The troops were there as part of a plan to open the Dardanelles Strait to the Allied fleets, allowing them to scare the Ottoman capital Constantinople and, it was hoped that the Turkish would surrender. The Allied forces encountered expected tough resistance from the Turkish, and both sides suffered enormous loss of lives.



The final death tollfrom dieing in action was 46,000 and another 225,000 died from acciendents or drowning which is very sad. A total of 2721 New Zealanders died.

What is Anzac day about

Anzac day was celebrated on the 25th of April.

Anzac day was the day the Australian and New Zealand corps. That was the day our army of soldiers died to protect our beautiful country. Some people from New Zealand volunteered to protect this country we are living in.

 The day the war began was in April 25 at 1915 on Gallipoli Peninsula.

The official dawn service on Anzac day was in 1927 in Sydney Centopah. Almost 8000 of New Zealand and Australian army corps died. The official Anzac day was help in April 25th 1916. Anzac day was not a public holiday till the beginning of 1921 on New Zealand and Australia. How ever it was not observed uniformly in all the States.

Poppies where the symbols for Anzac. The color red was called poppy plant it was the first to grow and bloom from the mud and blood.For another symbol for Anzac is the biscuit called "Oat Biscuit". It was the biscuit made homemade and was sent to the Australian and New Zealand.

Anzac is a day to remember those who lost there lives in gallipoli. Anzac means Australian New Zealand Army Core this is one of the most important event in New Zealand because alot of brave soldiers died on that day. The war began in 1915 on the 25th of April when the turks declared war. 87,000 turks died 44,000 men from France and the British Empire, including 8500 Australians. To this day, Australia also marks the events of 25 April. Among the dead were 2721 New Zealanders, almost one in four of those who served on Gallipoli. We need to remember this day for all those people that died for us.

In the first of ANZAC Day they were only event the militaries fought in the World War 1 but second even was event the militaries fought in the World War 2.
When the ANZAC Day is coming most New Zealand institutions they having a cherish event for New Zealand’s war victims.
But every years on 11st November they having Remembrance Day they sale the red poppy. 
They sale the look like poppy things stick on the button.
They want to remember the the look like poppy things stick on the button used from 1922 they gave the money from sold the button to the warriors and the families.
So they until sale the button 11st November.
About seventy thousand New Zealand’s soldiers died in the World War 1(1914~1918).
They died about 1/61!!
But in Gallipoli peninsula they died about three thousands and hurt about five thousands.

Anzac stands for Australia and New Zealand army corps. But we use the term A.N.Z.A.C for short.

Poppies are the symbol for ANZAC. The red poppy plant was one of the first to grow and bloom in the mud and soil of Flanders in Gallipoli . We wear them as a broach on ANZAC day. Originally the I.H.C which are the Intellectually handy capped children's parents association made these poppies in New Zealand , but now with modern technology they can be made cheaper in china.

Another icon of Anzac day is Anzac biscuits which are crispy oat biscuits. It has been told that during the war wives would send homemade Anzac biscuits over to the men fighting in Gallipoli. This is because they lasted for a long period of time due to the ingredients used to make the biscuit.

Anzac day is a time to remember what the men and service women did for our countries. We shall remember them.

On the 25th of April, every year we remember all the men and servicewoman that went to war. Anzac day has been going since 1916.We hold memorial services for all the people that went to war and they march down the streets while everyone claps and cheers for them.

Early in the morning at 4.18 before the sun was up, the soldiers landed on Gallipoli beach ready to fight for our nation, unfortunately they had been spotted by someone. Once the first boat had reached the shore a bullet was fired and soon the Turks started to attack.

The Turks were in the trenches on hills, and the Anzac troops were on shore below them so the turks were firing down whilst the anzac troops were firing up.

Flanders field is where the poppies grow and where the men are buried. A poppy a symbol of regeneration and growth in a landscape that in the past was full of blood and destruction.Many young men lost their lives at war so Anzac day is a day to remember them.

For Anzac day, you can buy a poppy to remember all the men and women who lost their lives in the First World War. They fought for us for freedom in Gallipoli.

You can buy a poppy at the mall, through schools or other outlets. The money that is raised goes to the R.S.A which is the Return Services Association.

Remembering ANZAC

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand and is held every year on the 25th April in both country. This day is specially held for the soldiers who sacrifice their life to fight for our freedom today.

When the war started in 1914, Australia has been in the Federal Commonwealth for 13 years. In 1915, Australian and New Zealand made up a Army and set of to capture the Gallipoli Peninsula, under a plan by Winston Churchill to open the way for the Allied Navies.

The Anzac land on Gallipoli on the 25th April meeting a fierce army from Turkey. The Anzac and the Turkish army immediately began a fierce war and went on for 8 month. At the end of 1915 all the country had a great lost of their soldiers, included 21,255 from the UK, an estimated 10,000 for France, 8,706 from Australia, 2,721 for New Zealand and 1,358 for British India. News of the landing at Gallipoli quickly traveled back to New Zealand and Australia and 25th of April became the which we remember all the soldiers who fought for us.

This day is the day were everybody in New Zealand and Australia gather togeather to remember the brave soldiers that fought for all of us no matter what country we are in.

The forces from New Zealand and Australia, fighting as part of the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps), played an important part in the Gallipoli campaign. At its beginning, people at home greeted with excitement the news that our soldiers were at last fully engaged in the war. New Zealand soldiers distinguished themselves with their courage and skill, establishing an enduring bond with the Australians they fought alongside.

My grandad was in the war but no fighting in it. he was the first in line but then the war stopped and he didn't get to fight!

So on the 25th of April we should all remember to wear a red poppy to remember who fought there lives for us!

How to I knew Black Caps and Sri Lanka verse in semifinal my Eanglish tutor Rosemary Cooper told me "On 29th March Black Caps and Sri Lanka verse in semifinal."

She said "Let tell me who is win in semifinal."too

but I didn't no who is won because when I tried to watching the Cricket World Cup in the TV but I couldn's find it so I didn't no who is won in the semifinal.

When I went to Eanglish lesson in the next week my tutor Rosemary said "Which team is won in the semifianl?"

and I said "I don't no."
Then Rosemary said "Sri Lanka is won."
I was so despair and reverse.
When I went to Eanlish tutor again my tutor Rosemary said "Let me no who is win in the final."
India won to Pakistan in the semifinal so India verse with Sri Lanka.

I want to Black Caps verse in the final with other team and win in the final and get Cricket World Cup but they couldn't.

India won in the final so they get the Cricket World Cup.

I was so  enviable.

Indian cricket team was cheering and running around but Sri Lanka cricket team was  despair and reverse.

Next Cricket World Cup I want to Black Caps are get the Cricket World Cup for win in the final.

Asian cup was held in Doha, Qatar.
 16 Asia countries joined Asian Cup.
Japan was champions in Asia. Japan is good at soccer
Seccond place was Australia.
Australia is in Oceania but joined Asian Cup.
Third place was South Korea.
Ji Sung Park is a captain of South Korea
He's famous in Korea and Asia.
Final round was Japan vs Austrailia.
Japan beat 1:0.
Japanese best player was  Miyaichi Ryo.
Australian best player was Harry Kewell.
When seccond,third round was South Korea vs Uzbekistan.
South Korea beat 3:2.
Most Asian peaple think Asian cup is best match in Asia.

It was a final script straight out of Bollywood. The baddies threatened, the ageing hero was left in the background, there were pretty women in the stands, a new pretender to the throne held his hand up and finally the leader of a billion or so patriots strode to the battlefield like a colossus and proceeded to dismantle the previously all-conquering attackers who possessed the unpredictable armoury. The World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka was a magnificent ending to a series of enthralling battles from soldiers representing 14 cricketing nations. In the end the strongest army won. So, like every other cricket nut, I need to pick a tournament team. Skateboarding

A group of skateboarder has made Christchurch's devastated roads and pavement their new home for skateboarding.

In the clip Quake-skating in Christchurch after earthquake which already had over 17,000 watches, a group of skateboarders duck under the " DO NOT ENTER" tape to perform tricks on the earthquake-created ramps and bumps. But one of them got a big warning from the police that was on patrol.

The amazing thing is after that clip was posted up all the comments on it was almost all positive. They comment thing such as " Christchurch for life and nothing can stop us" or " This is the most creative thing I've seen coming out of the quake. Great skating guys!!"

Mini Tornado hits!

It doesn't tell me what time the horrible mini tornado struck but it happened just before 2.30pm in South Auckland.


The Fire Service was called shortly after 2.30pm on Tuesday to a storage facility on Puhinui Road in the suburb of Papatoetoe. The tornado said to have ripped of a section of a roof measuring 40 metres bye 20 meters.

Fire officer George Lewis said that the crews removed debris and shortly after that the man was freed. he was not injured or hurt but scared and cold.

Fire officers said the tornado appeared to be highly localised and have not had any other reports of damage.
Fire Fighters are still said to be still at the site and clearing up and securing any loose material.
It was very lucky that the man survived because it was a 50/50 chance he could of died!!

Chelsea looks for revenge

Chelsea come back for revenge to Manchester United. The epic battle between Man United and Chelsea returns again on 6th of April. This battle has has been going on for many years now.

The clash between these to rivals will be a match to watch. Hopefully Chelsea can top of the win against Man United on the soccer field. But if Man United win then there will be some explaining to do because since 3 years ago in Moscow when star Alex Ferguson's side won in the penalty shot out 6-5 after all that time the magnificent team Chelsea won 2-1. After this coming battle between these two great teams i think Chelsea will pull it of.

Huge numbers of Kiwis hoping to win one of Lotto's biggest ever jackpots this Saturday have bumped up the prize pool to $34 million.
Retailers sold 2.3 million tickets ahead of the last Powerball 'must be won' draw in October 2008 and NZ Lotteries are expecting similar sales this week.
"A must be won draw attracts a lot of people who don't normally play Lotto to try their luck and buy a ticket," NZ Lotteries chief executive Todd McLeay said.
Increased sales this week had increased the Powerball jackpot from $32 million to $34 million.
However, McLeay encouraged people to play responsibly, saying people did not have to spend big to have a chance at winning the jackpot.
"A Lotto Powerball ticket can be bought for not much more than a cafe coffee or a beer," he said.
Unfortunately for South Island players, New Zealand's luckiest Powerball-selling stores are located in Auckland.

Victory for New Zealand Breakers

On Saturday 2nd April 2011 the New Zealand Breakers (who are the New Zealand basketball team) versed the Melbourne Tigers. The Breakers won against the Tigers. At halftime it was 45-36 to New Zealand. The final score was 87-74 to the Breakers. On the July 1st I walked toward my house.
I looked at a sky, suddenly strange light fell over in Hagly park,
So I ran to Hagly park.
There was strange shape of UFO.
Suddenly It was a strange noise and Alien came out.
It looked very ugly.

I was so scared .
I ran away and called police.
Police came and they shot a gun.
Alien crossed with police.
So Alien killed 2 police with laser.
People took pictures and shouted.
That situation was very strange and scared.

One day the aliens invasion in Earth.

They drove the very big and many UFOs in Earth.

People were surprised and frightened.

The aliens are how to stronger then Earth people there are hanging the CCTV on the meteorite and they control the meteorite to move around Earth by remote control and they look around the Earth and they found the Earth people's weakness and they attack the Earth people's weakness or they found the Earth people's strong points and they make their power stronger then Earth people and attack the Earth people.

The children called Arthur and Martina they are 10 years old.

They are good for make something.

Arthur said 'We can make some UFOs for fight with aliens.'

'But we didn't strong enough.' said Martina.

'But the adult people didn't here so let try ourselves.'

So they tried to made the some strong UFOs.

After eleven years they are did it!! They hung missiles too.

They test their UFOs. It was flied very good and next they test missiles too.

It was strong and filed very good.

After one weeks they are fought with aliens.

Arthur and Martina said 'Come on we make we are win for you.'

Soon they began to fight.

The aliens' UFOs' missiles couldn't through the Arthur and Martina's UFOs' side.

When Arthur and Martina are shoot the missiles by their UFOs they make big in the aliens' UFOs.

Suddenly the aliens' UFOs are began to burst.

The Earth people are began to cheering and said 'Hurray!!Hurray!!'

The Earth people become to strongest creature in the whole planet.

Arthur and Martina are become to hero.
