The Happy Prince

I read a book called 'The Happy Prince,' by Oscar Wild.

So the main characters are

The Happy Prince   The swallow   The town people

The happy prince gave up everything he had to help poor people.

He gave the ruby that was decorating his sword, and even his eyes and his skin.

I don't think I'll be able to do something like that if I was in a situation like that.

I will just gave little of my body.
Somehow, I feel more sad about the fact that the swallow died, than the fact that the prince died.

Prince gave up everything he had, because he wanted to help the poorer people.

But I think that is not what the swallow wanted to do.
I'm sure he wanted to fly off to Egypt and have a happy life, just like the rest of it's pack.

But the swallow had such a warm and kind heart, it couldn't help itself from staying to help the prince and the others.

In the end, the people from the town had thrown the prince away and so as the swallow.

They did not know the reason why the prince had turned in to such a hideous thing like that, obviously.

They are just too selfish. They only think about themselves, their own pride and happiness, not like the prince who gave away everything he had, even his life, for the poor people. Not like the swallow, who gave away his life to stay behind and help the prince.

What I learnt from this book is that we sould not be selfish and think of other people before thinking about what's good for myself. Also, we should always try to give the things I have to other people in poorer situations.

That is what makes me, a proper 'person' and I will also feel good and happy about it, too.

So I like this book.
