when the whole school had assembled on the field our teachers took the roll everybody was there.
Parents that lived near the school quickly came down and picked there children up. About 45 minutes later we were moved into the hall and given some biscuits. 5 minutes later my brother Samuel picked me up taking me to our friends place on the way I looked at cafe euro one of their windows had shattered.
When my brother and I got to our friends house we listened to the radio not knowing if the reports of dead people was true or not. after awhile may mum got there and told us that a policeman tried to save someone but they died. Then my step dad got there it had taken him 3 hours to get in to Avonhead. he then told us that a cabinet fell on his leg it looked really sore. We then cooked our dinner on the barbecue it tasted alright. 2 hours later the power came on so we turned on the t.v. amazed at all the images.
In later days I found out that school wasn't going to start until Monday 14th march I was so happy. I hope that Christchurch can rebuild and become a safer place for people to live in.
